The Langenburg Forum is an interdisciplinary space in which stakeholders from the business sector, civil society and politics come together in the Hohenlohe region to debate and discuss solutions to the challenges of globalisation and an increasing world population.The Forum is dedicated to the urgent question of how to shape the transition to a more sustainable economic approach and lifestyle.
The 2017 Langenburg Forum bore the title „Transforming Megacities – How Digitization Can Help Create Sustainable Living Environments for 9bn People?” and was held at Schloss Langenburg on June 8th & 9th. The main objective of the conference was to create a space for innovative solutions for sustainable urban development. The panels addressed issues such as sustainable transport, metropolitan regions, Big Data and urban planning. The Forum was very pleased to welcome former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan as keynote speaker and guest of honour.
