Sylvia Berger Finance

Sylvia Berger handles all of the company’s financial affairs. She has worked for JF&C in this capacity since the company’s inception. Prior to joining JF&C, Mrs Berger worked for a member of the German Bundestag, a media company and an economic research firm. She studied social sciences in Göttingen and Kazan, Russia with a focus on sociology, communication sciences, business administration and constitutional law.

Tobias Betz Managing Director

Tobias Betz is responsible for operational management, human resources and further development at JF&C. The political scientist and trained editor has many years of experience in strategic consulting for companies and their decision-makers. At JF&C, he assists clients with their strategy development, helps them to further their strategic partnerships and supports them in their political communication. Prior to joining JF&C, Tobias Betz worked for various media as well as for one of the world’s leading communications agencies. He is also a trained facilitator for guiding groups and teams through process facilitation.

Alex Diehl Shareholder

After graduating from the Royal Academy of Music in London in 1999, Alexander Diehl worked in the field of digital media and e-commerce at various companies in Europe. In 2005 he founded KKLD*, a Berlin and New York based digital and innovation agency, which was acquired by WPP in 2012. In 2009 he co-founded Architizer in New York. Mr Diehl has been a Senior Advisor to BMW i Ventures in New York since its launch in 2011.

Lena Engel Senior Consultant and Head of Sustainability

Lena Engel assists JF&C clients with their corporate responsibility, supporting them from the strategy to the final campaign or reporting. Prior to joining JF&C, she was head of corporate responsibility at a communications agency. Ms Engel studied comparative politics and political economy at the London School of Economics and European studies at Maastricht University. Her academic focus was on EU emissions trading and international environmental and economic policy.

Joschka Fischer Managing Partner

The former Vice Chancellor and Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany (1998–2005) led the Green Party in its first participation in government, on both the state (Hesse) and federal levels. From 2006 to 2007, Mr Fischer held a professorship at Princeton School of Public and International Affairs (USA). Mr Fischer is a founding partner of Joschka Fischer & Company.

Anja Friederich Senior Consultant

Anja Friederich supports JF&C clients with their positioning in the socio-political setting and with the development of public affairs strategies. Her core expertise lies in the areas of circular economy as well as energy and climate policy. Prior to joining JF&C, Ms Friederich completed her MA in international economics and business with a focus on public economics and studied political economy in Germany and Russia. She gained professional experience at the German embassy in Moscow and as a research assistant in economics at the University of Passau.

Emil Graeber Principal and Head of Strategy & Communications

At JF&C, Emil Graeber is responsible for strategy, communications and PR. Since joining the company back in 2018, he has devoted himself to digital, energy and mobility topics in his consulting services. He studied political science, administration and public policy with a focus on political communication and strategy. After various internships in Berlin, he began his professional career at a large mobility service provider where he built up a team for digital communication and managed the car sharing division. In recent years, he worked as a strategy consultant and project manager at a full-service communications agency in Berlin before joining JF&C. He managed successful and award-winning campaigns there – from their strategy and conception to their implementation.

Katharina Grewe Consultant

Katharina Grewe helps JF&C clients to develop their communication strategies and position themselves in the policy and sustainability environment. Prior to joining JF&C, she worked for a German development agency and gained further professional experience at several federal authorities and non-governmental organisations. Katharina Grewe holds a master’s degree in international affairs with a focus on sustainability and security along with a bachelor’s degree in governance and public policy.

Juliane Harms HR-Manager

Juliane Harms is responsible for all HR matters at JF&C and has played a decisive role in the company’s administration since its founding. Prior to joining JF&C, Ms Harms worked in administration at an event management company, a leading technology firm and a multinational computer hardware producer. Ms Harms studied English and American studies as well as linguistic communications and communication disorders at the University of Rostock.

Dietmar Huber Managing Partner

The trained industrial clerk and former journalist served as spokesperson for the Green Party federal parliamentary group between 1994 and 2005. Mr Huber is a founding partner of Joschka Fischer & Company.

Caroline Kleinhans Junior Consultant

Caroline Kleinhans supports JF&C clients by providing political analysis and strategic positioning. Prior to joining JF&C, she worked for an international communications agency with a focus on diplomatic relations. She gained further practical experience at the Institute for German and International Political Party Law and Research, a business association as well as the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. She completed her bachelor’s degree in political science and English studies. During her master’s degree in political communication in Düsseldorf, she specialised in public affairs strategies and party research, with a focus on Bündnis 90/Die Grünen.

Hannah Knox Senior Consultant and Head of International Affairs

As Head of International Affairs, Hannah Knox is responsible for expanding the company’s services in the field of international markets and politics. She advises clients on stakeholder relations and leverages transformation by developing strategic positioning, diversity concepts and dialogue formats. Prior to joining JF&C, she helped to establish the Berlin office of a business association as the communications and digitalisation officer, and worked for a governmental development agency. She also gained practical experience in NGOs active internationally, in leading communication agencies, and at a university institute. The communications specialist studied in Munich, Washington D.C. and Berlin, where she completed her master’s degree in political communication.

David Korenke Consultant

David Korenke helps JF&C clients to handle strategic challenges by developing stakeholder engagement and crisis communication tools. His work covers a multitude of sectors, including mobility solutions and the digital economy. Mr Korenke gained professional experience in foreign and development policy while working at the German embassy in Nairobi, Kenya and at a German development agency in Berlin. He holds a double master’s degree in public policy and public administration from universities in Berlin and New York as well as a bachelor’s degree from the University of London.

Lars Kühn Partner

Lars Kühn is a proven expert in communication. In 1998, after many years of working in journalism, Kühn began working at the SPD campaign headquarters. Following this first stint in politics, he became spokesperson for the German federal ministries of transport and building as well as for the SPD parliamentary group and the SPD party leadership. He worked for the SPD chairmen Gerhard Schröder and Franz Müntefering in this capacity. During this time, he was responsible for all media and public relations, including during the 2002 and 2005 federal election campaigns. Lars Kühn subsequently left the political sphere to act as a consultant for numerous political and private sector clients. He collaborated with the communication consultancy Johanssen + Kretschmer as a consulting partner and sat on the board of the communication consultancy WMP EuroCom AG.

Anna-Christina Madaras Junior Consultant

Anna-Christina Madaras prepares political analyses for JF&C clients and helps them to position themselves strategically. Prior to joining JF&C, she worked for a communications and consulting agency focusing on renewable energy, mobility and digitalisation. In addition to a study visit to Hungary, she gained practical experience at a governmental development organisation specialising in energy and natural resources. She completed her bachelor’s degree in political science and German philology in Göttingen and earned her master’s degree in international studies / peace and conflict studies in Frankfurt am Main, where she specialised in foreign policy and sustainability.

Jörg Müller Partner

Jörg Müller is a public affairs and communications expert with many years of experience in politics, business and consulting. He advises clients in their transformation towards greater sustainability and digitalisation. The political scientist is familiar with the financial sector and the real estate industry from both a political and business perspective. He was the spokesperson for Hans Eichel when he was the federal minister of finance, a head of communications at Aareal Bank AG and a head of department at the Federal Republic of Germany Finance Agency GmbH. He affords a broad national and international network encompassing the world of media, business and politics.

Katharina Render Senior Consultant

At JF&C, Katharina Render supports and advises clients in the development of communication strategies and formats. Prior to joining JF&C, she worked as a journalist for a major German Sunday newspaper, reporting from Germany and abroad. Most recently, she headed the news department. She moreover works as a book author. Katharina Render studied German language and literature, journalism, Romance studies and communication sciences in Bamberg and Rome.

Schadi Sadeh Junior Consultant

Schadi Sadeh supports JF&C clients with analyses for sustainability strategies. Prior to joining JF&C, she earned a master’s degree in sustainability science and a bachelor’s degree in economics and politics. She focused on approaches to a circular economy and sustainable value chains of consumer goods companies in both her bachelor’s and master’s dissertations. In addition to study visits to the Netherlands and Colombia, Ms Sadeh gained practical experience while working at the office of a member of the European Parliament.

Lary Schlüssel Consultant

Lary Schlüssel supports JF&C clients in public affairs and strategic communication, with a particular focus on energy and mobility issues. Prior to joining JF&C, he worked for a communications consultancy specialising in energy, infrastructure and mobility. During his studies, he gained practical experience in the German Bundestag, during the Bundestag election campaign as well as at a German embassy in Central America. He completed his bachelor’s degree in social sciences in Berlin and Paris and his master’s degree in political science in Potsdam – both with a focus on political communication and international relations.

Christopher Simon Senior Consultant

As a strategy consultant, Christopher Simon supports JF&C clients during their transformation processes and in the development of sustainability strategies, specifically on topics such as ecological consistency, circular economy and sustainability instruments. He completed his BA in ecology and environmental protection specialising in corporate environmental leadership before going on to pursue a master’s degree in sustainability management and economics with a focus on sustainability economics and strategies. In addition to his experience in environmental management and as a researcher on sustainability transformation, he gained varied experience in the field of consulting prior to joining JF&C.

Claudio Struck Partner and Head of Politics

Claudio Struck is responsible for the public affairs consulting services and political networking. At JF&C, the graduate historian advises companies on strategic advocacy and positioning with a focus on the construction and real estate industries. After a stint as a political advisor in the German Bundestag, he worked in Brazil as a project manager for the German Chamber of Commerce Abroad in Sao Paulo, the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Free University of Berlin. After returning from Brazil, he was responsible for fundraising and corporate contacts for the federal executive board of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen prior to joining JF&C in 2016.
